About Menagwins Farm

Tucked into the countryside near St Austell, Menagwins Farm offers a peaceful, back-to-basics escape with thirty grass pitches for tents and tourers, plus a pair of ready-pitched bell tents if you fancy a gentler introduction to canvas life. Campfires are actively encouraged, dogs roam freely, and families settle in happily thanks to the relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Facilities cover the essentials—hot showers, toilets, drinking water—without any digital distractions, since there's no WiFi to pull you away from the flames.

The farm makes an excellent launching pad for Cornwall's south coast beaches and the Eden Project, though some visitors note the site itself can feel a touch tired in places. Still, if you're after somewhere unpretentious where kids and hounds can burn off energy and evenings end around a crackling fire, Menagwins delivers exactly that.

I firstly want to say that Daisy & the farmer (sorry we didn't get his name) were so lovely & friendly. I spent 2 nights here & I fell in love with it. The first night I camped by myself in a tent, it was a really spacious field. Some parts were hilly but I picked a flat spot. The facilities were clean. It was a compost toilet & an outdoor cold shower which I loved. There was a washing up sink & drinking water. Finding the farm was super easy as Daisy sent out instructions before I arrived & it was really well signposted. The next day my friends arrived in their campervan with their dog (dog friendly)This location was perfect. We decided to do a small drive to Charlestown & walk the South West Coast Path to Pentewan which was STUNNING. On the walk we passed through Porthpeon Beach which is what the farm recommended on their website to go paddleboarding which we came back & did. It was amazing. We then bought some wood (£5) which Daisy happily brought up to us & we lit our fire. You can also rent a fire pit for £5 too. The next day I drove to Mevagissey & walked the South West Coast Path again. I love how close all of these places are to this campsite. A lovely peaceful atmosphere. I would 100% stay here again 💕

Very nice campsite if you’re okay with cold showers and compost toilets. Staff was friendly and check-in via phone was trouble-free.
