About Ivy House Cornwall B&B

Ivy House Cornwall B&B occupies a quiet spot in North Hill Park, St Austell, within easy reach of the Cornish coastline and the countryside that surrounds this part of Cornwall. It makes a practical base for anyone planning to visit the Eden Project or spend days exploring the coast, with free on-site parking removing one of the usual headaches of a Cornish holiday.

There are just three rooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom, so it has the feel of a small, personally run place rather than a large hotel. Breakfast is included, free WiFi runs throughout, and drinks can be brought to your room. A garden gives guests somewhere to sit outside, and reception is staffed around the clock for whenever you arrive or need something.

Fishing and watersports are both nearby for those wanting to get out on or near the water, and pubs, restaurants and other places to eat are within easy reach for evenings out. St Austell itself offers further entertainment options close by. It suits guests who want a straightforward, comfortable stopping point for Cornish coast and country days out.

It’s the best Bed and Breakfast I’ve ever experienced, hands down. Everything was absolutely perfect, from the attention to detail to the warm hospitality. James has done an incredible job re-creating an authentic British and traditional environment that makes the stay feel special and unique. The room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and so comfortable, while the garden offered a peaceful retreat with its very well-maintained charm. On top of that, the breakfast was exceptional, with a variety of delicious, fresh options that really started the day on a high note.

A beautiful guest house, set within its own private road and gardens. Tastefully looked after and restored. The owner / host, James is very attentive and helpful. A great choice of breakfasts. Idea location for walkers and access to other coastal areas.

I place I certainly recommend. I've spent a long weekend, 3 nights, at the beginning of October 2020 with some friends and it has been a memorable time! James, the owner, is a gentleman and a fantastic host. He took care of us and prepared a delicious breakfast every day. The whole atmosphere of the Ivy House is superb! It is a few minutes from the train station and from the town centre.

I stopped at Ivy House for 2 nights on route to Marazion for the rest of my holiday. James is such a great host, spotless and attention to detail. I stayed in the en-suite double and it had lovely views of the garden. Really great facilities and everything I needed including a lovely shower. Is garden was also lovely to spend time in and the Lilly ponds and seating was a lovely area to eat of an evening and read and write some cards plus use my laptop as he has wifi to cover the garden as well ! Breakfast was also spot on and I had a English breakfast loving cooked on his Aga, fresh coffee and orange juice. Just perfect, thank you James I would highly recommend and stay again.
