Higher Penderleath Caravan and Camping Park

We stayed here for two nights in the middle of our Cornwall road trip and it was superb we met some lovely people and the site was very clean and the shop was a great addition to the site for little bits you might need. Danny couldn’t do enough for us behind reception. We will definitely be back thanks for a great time

Out of season visit. It was advertised that some facilities would be shut including the bar. Plenty of vans and campers. Stayed for 4 nights. There had been a bit of bad weather prior to my arrival so some parts had broken tree bits which looked a bit messy in places. The reception and shop was shut but you could ring the owners/ management if needed, however I did not. Toilets were clean and shower rooms ok. Things get walked in and even on sites where you can see the staff present and cleaning these things can happen. I didn't see anyone working there the entire stay so I can't really comment on the cleaning regime. The grass was cut nicely and the pitch size was ample with plenty of shelter from a rock wall. The site was only a few miles walk from St Ives. It's a bit up hill and some roads don't have pavement on national speed limit roads. It is doable with some common sense but I did take advantage of the bus service that runs from the end of the lane. Taxi services in the area are a bit hit and miss but the bus ran hourly so reliable. Phone signal is and issue in Cornwall. So it is worth picking up a pack of tourist information cards which are in the coffee hut rather than relying on your phone data. A few pubs a short drive or walk You can see the road close by but you can't hear it. It was very peaceful. All in all a good trip. No complaints but I wasn't blown away.

Perfect campsite situation for visiting St Ives about a 5 minute drive away. Beautiful, quite countryside and views of Mine ruins. The site is a little tired and needs revamping, which looks as if the proprietor is trying to complete it before the high season. The staff were very helpful in doing a running repair to my wife's Mobility Scooter They helped with organising a taxi to take us to St. Ives, which would have been a nightmare to drive and park our motor home in the town. Cost of Taxi £12. In the high season, there is a regular bus service from the campsite. The pitch sites are large,with the option of electric hookups.

Just had an amazing Bank Holiday long weekend at Penderleath. We've visited St Ives many many times and feel we have found an ideal location for a great holiday. The owners were very hands on and helped us. Really genuine and nice people. The toilets and shower blocks were spotlessly clean and cleaned on a regular basis. Hot water and toilet waste facilities were perfect. A short taxi ride into St Ives makes this an ideal location for a fun family holiday. Highly recommended!!!
