An iconic pub in a great location. Visited on a Saturday around midday. Lots of indoor seating avaliable and a few seats still available outside in the sun. We had two Gammom steaks egg and chips along with a grazing plate of sharing plate of 'dip and share' warm baked camembert with toasted sourdough. With a pint of cider and a large white wine our village was £75. The food was very tasty, the only negative is that the chips weren't all that good. Service is very good and the pub is huge over a number of floors.

I really enjoyed this pub and the top floor restaurant. There was a cozy vibe about it and the view of tower bridge is incredible. The food was lovely too. I had the turkey skewers and the portion size was decent!

First time in this place. Views are phenomenal and worth going just for that. Cocktails were also good. However food was a big letdown as it was completely overpriced. Cocktail prawns were £12.50 and looked like random ingredients put together from your everyday Tesco shop. Burger was also disappointing: £21 for basically two plain patties and chips with half a bacon strip inside the burger to justify that the ingredients include ‘bacon’ in the menu. My friend didn’t even finish her mushroom risotto. Please put more effort in your dishes and do not skimp out on portions. Service was average to poor. Server wandered off in the middle of taking our order to talk to another table, then didn’t write anything down and almost forgot my order. Did not like that the server almost insisted that we get all our food at once (rather than starters first and then mains later). Please be more attentive when waiting each table.

Set against the beautiful St Katharine Docks and just moments from Tower Bridge, The Dickens Inn is a charming and historic spot spread across three floors. The ground-floor Tavern Bar offers a cosy atmosphere with great pints and comforting dishes like fish and chips or the popular Tower Burger. Upstairs, the function suite provides a fantastic setting for events with stunning views. At the top, Poplars Restaurant delivers a more refined experience, with delicious dishes and excellent steaks, all enjoyed with a balcony view over the docks. Desserts are also well worth trying. Sundays are a highlight, with a traditional roast served until 8pm—though it’s so popular it often sells out early. Overall, The Dickens Inn is a must-visit for great food, atmosphere, and one of the best views in London.
