Walk through the door at Ostlers End and you're in a lived-in living room with a woodburner and plenty of seating, a kitchen-diner beyond it with a table for six and a patio door opening onto the garden. Three bedrooms are upstairs: one with a kingsize bed and ensuite, one with a double, and one with two singles. A family bathroom and second ensuite mean no queuing. The essentials—heating, electricity, linen, towels and wifi—are all covered.
The cottage stands on farmland near Hartington village, which has two pubs and a cheese shop a short walk away. Buxton, Bakewell, Ashbourne and Matlock are within reach for a day out. The Peak District's hills, trails and footpaths start practically on the doorstep; the River Dove is nearby if you want to fish. Parking for two cars on site, and one dog is welcome to stay free. No smoking inside.
