What visitors say

Aravind S

Brancaster Beach is one of the finest beaches on the North Norfolk coast, offering a perfect mix of natural beauty, peace, and outdoor activities. The wide stretch of golden sand provides plenty of space, even during busy periods, making it an excellent destination for families, couples, and dog walkers. At low tide, the beach becomes incredibly expansive, revealing shallow pools and firm sand that are ideal for children to play safely. The surrounding dunes and salt marshes create a stunning landscape and attract a wide variety of birds, making the area popular with nature lovers and photographers. The beach is also well known for activities such as kite flying, paddleboarding, and sailing, thanks to its open spaces and coastal winds. Facilities are good, with a large car park nearby and cafés and pubs within easy reach in Brancaster village. Visitors should, however, be aware of the fast-rising tide and tidal creeks, which can catch people out if they venture too far from the shoreline. Overall, Brancaster Beach offers a relaxing escape from busy towns and cities. Its clean sands, breathtaking scenery, and peaceful atmosphere make it one of Norfolk's standout coastal destinations. Whether you're looking for a leisurely walk, a family day out, or simply a place to enjoy spectacular sunsets, Brancaster Beach is well worth visiting and is a destination that many people return to year after year.

Love this beach. So do the dogs. Clean and plenty of room for the dogs to run! Car park ok price wise (ring go) although could do with a few of the holes filling so it doesn’t become quite such a quagmire when it rains.

Lovey beach! I had been before many years ago but not in recent years so staying in Norfolk from May bank 1st holiday we decided to visit. It's very busy at the beach carpark which was £6 for 2 hours. There are dog bins and toilets and small ' bucket & spade' cafe. The coast is wide and sand golden soft. As the tide was out we went further out to walk on wet sand with the pups. This is a dog friendly beach but you must clear up after your pups - day was warm and families out with windbreakers. True delight ! Like old holidays past with just a newspaper and flask of tea 🤣 really enjoyed it and the shallow sea ponds which pups loved to paddle in.

It’s a nice little beach. It has a small shop and toilet facilities. There’s a little drive up to the parking and the parking is a tad expensive. There are soft sand bits for the kids. When the tides low you can find lots of fun stuff and there are some rocks for on the go kiddies. The tide does come in quickly. So be careful.
