Glamping for £300-400 for 2 nights where all the daylight comes into the bell tent from 5am (there was 20 of us in 5-6 different tents and we all said the same, up at 5am 😂). So of course spent the rest of the day incredibly exhausted. Kids awake busting our chops from sunrise…I’ve stayed in 5 start hotels for cheaper. Had a laugh with staff about it, they agreed non verbally laughing about it. Cafe opens at 8.30am, so forget about coffee early at a family venue 😂. Animal farm average at best. In general a lot of TLC needed I’d say. Rained almost all day so ended up in play room for hours, nowhere to purchase a drink. A vending machine would make a lot of money in there as long as they don’t charge £4 for a very average coffee in the cafe. I really wonder who’s running the show here?! I will think very carefully about glamping in the future. Kids had a blast tho as we went with friends. No dry area for bbq so you can actually cook when it rains (which let’s face it, it happens almost daily in the uk). Cooked a bbq in the rain…unreal experience. 3 star is being kind I have to say!

Aldenham Country Park is a genuine hidden gem in Hertfordshire that offers a perfect escape for families and nature lovers alike. From the moment you arrive, the serene views of the 100-acre reservoir set a peaceful tone for the day. What makes this park truly special is the variety of activities available. Children will absolutely love the Winnie the Pooh's 100 Aker Wood, which brings a touch of literary magic to a woodland stroll. The farm section is equally delightful, providing an educational and hands-on experience with friendly animals. Why You Should Visit: Scenic Walks: Well-maintained paths that are perfect for dogs and strollers. Family Fun: Great play areas and themed trails that keep kids engaged. Facilities: A lovely café to grab a coffee and clean amenities throughout. Whether you are looking for a vigorous morning jog or a quiet afternoon picnic by the water, Aldenham provides a refreshing, high-quality outdoor experience. It is well worth the parking fee to support such a beautifully kept local treasure. Highly recommended for a wholesome day out!

Great farm and playground. A year ago I said I thought expensive but returning and undertaking more experiences, seeing the thought and care that is exercised in an ever cost escalating environment feel a little harsh. Grandchildren had a great afternoon, returning home exhausted! Ok we spent over £100 for two adults and two children, but where else can you get unique activities surrounded by caring people (staff and visitors)? Playground could do with a little upgrade perhaps?🤔 Good parking and access, nice walk around the reservoir too if you have the energy!

Have to pay for parking which is done via barriers. Picnic area is lovely but no bins for rubbish. The animal farm is good and lovely to feed all the animals as well as explore the area. Lots to do there.
