Archarn Estate Lodges - Alder

This modern lodge sits on ground level across its entire footprint, making it accessible throughout. Two bedrooms—one with a double bed, one with two singles—sleep four, served by a wet room with shower. The open-plan living space includes a fully equipped kitchen with electric cooking, dishwasher and fridge-freezer, plus a separate dining and living area with TV and DVD player. Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are covered; you can also park two cars on site.

The 30-acre grounds offer tennis, fishing for trout on a catch-and-release basis, and a children's play area. Woodland walks start from the door, and you can find picnic tables scattered around the ponds. Red squirrels, deer, pine martens and ospreys are regular sightings. A pub lies within a mile. One dog can stay free, though it must remain on lead as the estate is working farmland. The property draws water from a borehole, and there are steps, sloping banks and water features across the grounds to be aware of. No smoking inside.
