Trunkie Cottage

Trunkie Cottage is a one-bedroom property sleeping two, set in Brig o' Turk within the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. You'll arrive at a compact but considered layout: downstairs is an open-plan kitchen and living area with contemporary appliances and a wood burner, with double doors opening to the garden; a spiral staircase leads up to a galleried bedroom with a super king bed and en-suite shower room. The cottage is yours alone, and parking is on site. Wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels are all included.

Walking distance brings you to a village tea room, pub and post office. The immediate area is thick with paths and cycle trails, and there are lochs, mountains and woodland to explore. Callander—a Victorian town with shops, cafés and restaurants—is a five-minute drive, and Stirling city, with its castle and historic sites, takes forty minutes. The region has long drawn visitors; you can visit distilleries, ancient monuments and castles, or take a steamship cruise on Loch Katrine. The cottage does not permit smoking. Note that access to the bedroom involves steep, open spiral stairs.
