About Rob Roy Hotel
A varied dinner menu and generous breakfast selection are the main draw at the Rob Roy Hotel in Aberfoyle, a spot that's built a solid local reputation for its kitchen. The restaurant and bar anchor the place, with outdoor seating for warmer evenings and organised entertainment adding to the atmosphere after dark.
Rooms are clean and reasonably spacious, with en-suite bathrooms, family rooms and accessible rooms all available, plus drinks available in room. Some of the accommodation shows its age, so this suits guests after comfort and good service over contemporary design. Free WiFi, a lift, 24 hour reception and packed lunches on request round out the practical side, and pets are welcome.
The hotel offers free on-site parking and can arrange airport transfers. Stirling University lies within reach for visitors combining business with the trip, and the surrounding area offers golf, watersports, walking routes, and further pubs and restaurants nearby. Staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful, and the overall package is considered good value.

Recently spent a couple of nights here. Have been here twice before. Hotel was spotless but unfortunately our room smelt very musty. Don't know if we were in a room that they use for people who bring dogs (we didn't) or from the carpet but it was quite pungent. The food was first class, plenty choice and good quality. Be prepared for the coach parties who stay here and are quite noisy. Have no regard for other customers, banging doors early morning etc. There were 4 coaches there on our second night and the people from one of them were in the same dining room as us-it was bedlam!! Kudos to the catering/waiting staff who dealt with that. Not a lot in Aberfoyle or Callendar now but the surrounding area especially Loch Katrine is beautiful.

Great overnight stay here, we stayed for dinner and breakfast, both meals were great, lots to choose from at dinner (3 courses included in our price) and all you can eat buffet breakfast was great too. All the staff were very friendly and helped us out. The hotel accommodated us at last minute as another hotel nearby let us down on the day. Really good fairly priced bar with seating indoors and outdoors. The room was clean with everything we needed. Not far walk from shops and pubs too. Thanks for a great stay ☺️

Just home from a lovely weekend, 2 nights dinner bed and breakfast. The evening meals on both nights were absolutely lovely, great choice, cooked to perfection, fast and friendly service from a crew of lovely girls, nothing too much trouble. Breakfast was equally as nice, again lovely selection of freshly prepared food. right down to the orange juice, none of your watered down nonsense.
