About The Angel Inn
Stoke-by-Nayland is a Suffolk village well placed for exploring the surrounding countryside, and The Angel Inn sits at its heart on Polestead Street. The building has the feel of a traditional English inn, with just six rooms kept comfortable and straightforward rather than grand, making it a quiet base rather than a destination in itself.
Downstairs, the inn works as a proper local, with a bar and restaurant open to residents and villagers alike, and breakfast included to set guests up for the day. Free WiFi is available throughout, and free on-site parking makes it an easy stop for anyone arriving by car and planning to explore further afield.
The setting suits those keen to see more of Suffolk, with the inn acting as a convenient overnight stop between days out rather than a resort with facilities of its own. It is a simple, honest option for travellers who want a village pub atmosphere and a comfortable bed above it.
Guests mention this hotel offers luxurious, spotless, and quiet rooms with amenities like air conditioning and underfloor heating in bathrooms. They also highlight the delicious and well-presented food for breakfast and dinner, with an innovative menu. Visitors appreciate the excellent ambiance, the helpful and friendly staff, and the overall good value.
