Stoke Cartlodge
Babergh
This detached former stable and cart lodge dates from the 1600s and has been restored to a high standard without losing the character of its age. The single open-plan ground floor space brings together living, dining and kitchen areas under one roof, with French doors opening directly onto a west-facing terrace and garden beyond. A wood burner sits in the living area, and the kitchen has everything needed to cook properly—electric oven, hob, microwave, and full-sized fridge and freezer. The bedroom holds a kingsize bed; the bathroom has both bath and shower cubicle.
Stoke Cartlodge sits in the centre of Stoke-by-Nayland village, within walking distance of pubs and positioned to take advantage of the surrounding countryside. The Stour and Box valleys frame the setting. A lawned garden with seating and a BBQ comes with the property, along with private parking for one car. Essentials—heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi—are included, as is the initial fuel for the wood burner and a welcome pack. No smoking.
