i do not overestimate when i say clay time is one of the best pottery studios london has to offer. Been a regular since two years and they are amazing at what they do + they have the best staff that are quite talented and very kind! Both day courses and long courses are very well equipped and both the studios are so well made. It’s always such a great time and the pots come out so beautifully glazed. It’s truly a pleasure and i would highly recommend this place to both beginners and advance potters!

Amazing studio! I’ve been on 3 courses now. The 5 week wheel throwing class is amazing. All the instructors are so friendly and helpful. The course goes through the whole process. And I love the pieces I made and use them all the time. Best pottery studio in London

I popped by Claytime one evening while there was an event to check out the space as I often go to the Highgate Claytime. The studio on Blackstock Road is in an amazing position with loads of cool cafes, bars and restaurants. (Gunners fans will be happy too being a stones throw from the Stadium! Haha) The place has a lot of personality and feels really homely. There are shelves displaying the beautiful pebble dishes Claytime make and work from students lining the walls waiting for their turn in the kiln or pickup. Even the sink area is decorated with tiles that have been painted by students. I was lucky enough to get a "behind the scenes tour" from Sonia (a teacher there) and saw the three kilns, pug mill and all the other kit in the basement. To me it looks like there are a heap of resources for workshoppers, students and potters to take advantage of. I would say the difference between the two studios is location for this studio would be great as part of a hen / stag / work / birthday / kids / just for lols party and then one of the restaurants or bars along the street. Where as Highgate is newer, more spacious and more chilled. Try both and see what fits your vibe best I guess!

Clay Time has a lovely atmosphere and I go very regularly. The staff are so helpful and friendly. I also loved having a go on the wheel; the workshop was very informative. They fired my pots very quickly and they were ready in a bag when I came to collect them.
