Small, quiet family-run touring park two miles south-west of Stratford-upon-Avon
About Dodwell Park
Dodwell Park is a small, family-run touring park on the edge of the countryside two miles south-west of Stratford-upon-Avon, and it has built a loyal following by doing the basics well. Regulars return for level pitches, hot showers that don't swallow coins, and the absence of late-night discos. The site takes tents, tourers and motorhomes across standard grass pitches, serviced options and gravel hardstandings, with electric hook-ups on the latter two. Facilities include heated washrooms, a dishwashing area, chemical disposal and a small shop with an off-licence for essentials. There's no pool or playground, and wi-fi isn't on offer, which suits those who come for peace rather than entertainment.
Prices are reasonable for the area—standard pitches start around £20, serviced and gravel around £29–£30, with small tents from about £10—and a book-seven-pay-for-six deal rewards longer stays. Dogs are welcome for a modest nightly charge. Footpaths lead to the River Avon and Luddington, while Anne Hathaway's Cottage at Shottery is the nearest Shakespeare landmark, with Stratford itself a forty-minute walk along quiet lanes.

What visitors say
Nice clean site, facilities very good, clean shower and toilets etc. The next part is my own opinion only, if you want a nice relaxing time then this isn't for me due to everyone being very close together. The pitch isn't private we had a hard standing pitch if we had an awning up the parking would be very tight. Kids everywhere arguing not for us but this is my opinion. The people who you deal with are very good very helpful so I can't complain about that. Overall I wouldn't return to this site.

Unfortunately, we had a very disappointing experience at this caravan site. The facilities are very dated and in need of significant updating. There are not enough showers and toilets for the size of the site, and they are extremely cold. The lighting in the showers switches off after around 15 minutes, which is not sufficient, particularly when washing hair, leaving you in complete darkness. The site also lacks adequate bins, and the washing-up area is not sheltered, meaning you get wet during bad weather. Drainage is poor across the site—some toilets were blocked, and the washing-up area was flooded, requiring guests to walk through water to access the toilets. We felt that guests with older caravans or vans were looked down upon by the owner, who came across as rude and unwelcoming who is apparently a Christian. The dog field is not secure, and there is only one dog waste bin available. There was also ongoing building work, which was often noisy and disruptive. The on-site shop is very limited and only opens briefly in the morning, with the nearest proper shop requiring a drive. The only positive aspect of our stay was the wardens, who were very friendly. Overall, we would not recommend this site, plenty of others nearby.

Stayed for two nights to see Stratford. Site is fine, the showers/toilets are a little dated but clean and functional. Great shower. Very friendly upon arrival. Pitch was level for our VW campervan with a small patch of grass to put our chairs. Very quiet site! Woke up to the birds. There are bus stops both ways into Stratford but we easily walked in and back again. Would recommend.

We stopped in our caravan for the first time at Dodwell park, the service was amazing, the area was beautiful and clean and there's nice clean shower and toilet block, it had everything you needed there, would definitely recommend
