What visitors say

Great day out costs nothing. Take a packed lunch and blanket. Lots of nature, bridges and few ruins along the way. Red cedars that are majestic around the building. Historically it was a stop of point for Mary Queen of Scots during the battle of Langside. It isn't mentioned in the small museum area of the visitor centre but it could be a point of interest to draw in visitors? The playpark is big and plenty of parking for cars nearby. The views across Hamilton and north to the Campsies are stunning.

1st time visit. Fabulous weather. Fantastic walk, in marvellous surroundings. Lots of carparking spaces. A charity run was on the day we went and this just added to the whole experience. Saw a few cyclists and mountain bikers, using the park. Great area for the children to play in. Fantastic buildings, great cafe a gift shop.

We visited on a beautiful sunny day and stopped for a bite before exploring the grounds. While the cakes and pastries looked delicious, our main meal was simply okay. However, the service was excellent, the young lady at the till was a delight. We also met a ranger Melinda, who was not only knowledgeable and passionate about her role. She was also quite lovely to talk to, making our visit all thr more enjoyable.

Visited The park for the 1st time today ! The weather held us back from walking to everything we wanted to see but it was so beautiful and peaceful we enjoyed watching the cows and the hundreds of daffodils we popped into the visitors centre and although we didn't go in the cafe looked lovely so I think we will have to make a return visit ❤️
