It’s good to have a cinema next home but please why the popcorn keep tasting like old popcorn. The coke drink also taste like water. And I paid a lot for that. I went to see Spider-Man and couldn’t eat the popcorn and enjoyed my drink either

Odeon Streatham is, without exaggeration, one of the most disappointing cinema experiences I’ve had in years. The first thing you notice is how tired and unclean the place feels. For a cinema, where people are paying specifically to sit comfortably and immerse themselves in a film, the overall standard of cleanliness is surprisingly poor. It feels neglected. The bigger issue, though, is the auditorium itself. Somehow the lights were left far brighter than they should have been during the movie. I didn’t pay to watch a film under office lighting. Half the point of going to the cinema is being drawn into the screen, and that’s difficult when the room never seems to get properly dark. The staff didn’t improve the experience. Interactions felt indifferent at best, and whenever assistance was needed, there was very little confidence that the issue would actually be understood or resolved. Customer service shouldn’t feel like you’re inconveniencing the people whose job it is to help customers. The whole place gives the impression of a cinema that has simply stopped caring. Poor cleanliness, distracting lighting, and underwhelming customer service combine to create an experience that makes you wonder why you didn’t just stay home and watch the film on your sofa. I genuinely can’t recommend it.

Staff are really friendly and polite. However the screen rooms aren't cleaned between screenings. As it was my first time there I wasn't sure what to expect but it wasn't up to the usual standard I see odeon at. (Or maybe that standard has slipped a lot as cinema is dying tbh), anyways there wasn't any leg room which as a 154cm person is never my problem. And they didn't put the screen on until 17:27, when the movie was scheduled for 17:30. That paired with the old nachos and popcorn littering the floor of the room made me panic that I was in the wrong screen or that it was out of use! Please properly clean up between screenings and turn on the screen a little earlier so it's not so dark and hard to navigate for those who arrive on time.

I watched The Odyssey in Screen 1 and was quite disappointed with the overall experience. The sound quality was poor and it was difficult to hear the dialogue clearly throughout the film. The picture also looked dull and grainy rather than sharp and bright. For a big blockbuster movie, I expected a much better cinema experience. The staff were fine, but Screen 1 really needs attention. I hope ODEON improves the sound and picture quality.
