Thistle House

Thistle House is a traditional Victorian property built with red brick and character proportions, now serving as a family holiday home near the North Kent coast. The house holds seven guests across three bedrooms: a kingsize and two doubles on the first floor, with a further sofa bed downstairs for flexibility. A single bathroom serves the upstairs, while the ground floor contains the kitchen, dining and living spaces arranged for practical self-catering.

The kitchen is fully functional with a gas hob and oven, dishwasher, microwave and all the basic storage needed to cook proper meals rather than scrambling together takeaways. Heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are included, along with Wi-Fi for staying connected. There is parking for one car on site. The back garden is enclosed and furnished with a patio area for sitting outside, though there are two steps leading to it. The property welcomes one pet and is rented as a whole to your group alone, but smoking is not permitted indoors.

Sittingbourne itself has undergone decades of change since its industrial heyday, but the town retains a functional high street with independent shops and cafés alongside the usual chains. Milton Creek Country Park nearby draws walkers and cyclists, and there are heritage attractions within an hour's drive. The coast is accessible, and the rail links mean London or other corners of Kent are not far away for day trips. Travel cots and highchairs can be arranged if needed for younger children.
