About Blas Gwyr

Out on the Gower peninsula, surrounded by the farmland and coastline that make this stretch of Swansea so popular with walkers and surfers, Blas Gwyr occupies a working farm setting at Plenty Farm. It's a quiet, unhurried base with countryside on every side and the beaches of Hillend and Llangennith within easy reach for a day by the water.

The B&B has four rooms, each en-suite and fitted with a flat-screen television, kept simple and comfortable rather than overdressed. A hot breakfast is included and served on site, and there's a courtyard garden to sit out in when the weather allows. A restaurant on the property covers evening meals, with further pubs and restaurants nearby for those who fancy a change of scene.

Reception operates around the clock, and the farm doubles as a wedding venue for those wanting a countryside setting for the occasion. Fishing and watersports are both available nearby, making it a practical stopping point for anyone splitting their time between the Gower coast and the surrounding hills.

Excellent, thanks to our host Dafydd and Jo. Great location close to various beaches (short drive better than long walk!) & nice pub 7 minutes walk away. Nice twin room and nice bathroom/wetroom, although the shower could be more powerful. Free parking. Lovely breakfast (sausage, bacon, egg, potato, mushrooms, tomatoes and lava bread on request 😉) all accompanied by local knowledge and stories from Dafydd if you get him talking 😅 and dry wit from Jo 😂.

We had a lovely stay at Blas Gwyr last weekend. The owner is lovely, very flexible and cooked us up a great breakfast for the two days we were there. Our room was spacious, quiet and the shower was amazing! It is conveniently located a short walk from the beech, pub and ideal for a walking holiday. We'll definitely be back!

This is a really nice b&b. The accommodation is immaculate and really beautifully designed and the bed we had was so comfortable. The owner is a delight to meet and talk to and a brilliant breakfast cook as well. He is very welcoming and helpful yet unobtrusive. The breakfast room is light and nicely set out and the breakfast choice is perfectly adequate for all. Beautifully cooked and delightfully served it was more than enough to see us through a good day of walking. We were sad when our few days stay came to an end and we had to return home. One other thing, the accommodation is dog-friendly but so clean and well kept that one would never know that our dog hadn't been the first canine visitor. The village is perfect for walking straight from the room door and Blas Gwyr is beautifully situated on the outskirts of the village and is thus beautifully quiet.

Delightful visit. The property is lovely, perfectly located in Llangennith and only 5 mins walk to the pub for food, or a longer walk over the hill to Llanmadoc. Great bed, beautiful bathroom. The breakfast was superb, with Dafydd (owner) pulling out all the stops for my vegan wife. Would love to return soon.
