The Worm's Head Hotel

We visited The Worms Head Hotel on Saturday evening as a group of 12 and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. Despite the stunning location and incredible views, the service left a lot to be desired. Staff appeared unfriendly throughout our visit, with little warmth or customer service. Drinks were also extremely expensive, with a round for four people costing £38 (2 alcholic, and 2 soft drinks). Food availability was very limited, and what was available was poor value for money and not very nice. For example, a small portion of cheesy chips cost almost £7 and was one of the smallest portions we had ever seen. The biggest issue was with a food order for one of the younger members of our group. She had been encouraged to order and pay for her food, which was a big achievement for her as she is naturally very shy and quiet. While everyone else's food arrived, hers never did. After repeatedly asking where it was, we were given several different explanations over the course of an hour. We were told it had been delivered to another table, then that our table had only placed one order, then that she hadn't ordered at all. A member of staff eventually confirmed that he remembered serving her, and when staff suggested the payment hadn't gone through, she was able to show that the money had been taken from her bank account. Her order was eventually processed, but only after all of the confusion and she then had to wait for it to be cooked and served after everyone else had already eaten. By this point, our group had spent over £200, but the poor service, lack of accountability and disappointing food meant we decided not to spend any more of our evening there. It's a real shame because the setting is absolutely beautiful and we had planned to stay much longer. Unfortunately, based on this experience, we would not return.

Absolutely wonderful pub, spectacular views and welcoming atmosphere. The team really looked after our large group. We had a large food order which all came out quickly and tasted great. I would have taken a picture of my double Welsh burger to share but it was that good I was halfway through it before I thought to do so. Will definitely visit again, cheers Adrian and team.

Our team were doing a charity hike and we were more than looked after over the weekend. Adrian and his colleagues were extremely welcoming and friendly. The food was wonderful after a hike and we even got to stay late to play games, thank you so much!

Great beer & food. Food is ordered in due to the kitchen being out of order but still a good and efficient service. Staff are lovely and welcoming.
