About Marsh Farm Hotel
A large garden is the standout feature at Marsh Farm Hotel, giving this Swindon property a green, open feel that guests often remark on. Set on Coped Hall in Wiltshire, it's an easy hotel to find, with free on-site parking and good access to local transport links and nearby attractions.
The hotel has 48 rooms, including family and accessible options, all with en-suite bathrooms and the usual comforts such as free WiFi and drinks in the room. That said, some rooms have been reported as poorly kept, so it's worth bearing in mind that maintenance can be inconsistent across the property. Breakfast, packed lunches and kids' meals are all available, along with room service and a bar on site.
Beyond the rooms, Marsh Farm Hotel offers meeting rooms and business services, making it a workable choice for events, and it also operates as a wedding venue with its garden and outdoor seating put to good use. Staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful, which goes some way to offsetting the room upkeep issues. Pubs, restaurants and other eateries are all nearby, along with entertainment options for those looking to venture further afield.

What guests say
This place is not the same I knew 25 or so years ago and it was a beautiful and thriving hotel with lots of functions and weddings and conferences. It's a shadow of its formal glory. The room was dirty with dust everywhere. I even found an old knife and fork in one of the drawers and washed. The TV was old and dusty. There were marks on the walls. The bath was dirty. There was dust all around the skirting boards. The taps were dirty. The extractor fan in the bathroom wasn't working and was full of dust and muck. I bought the hanger on my door stating that I wanted my room to be serviced as I was staying there for more than a few days, the man just looked at me outside and said was I leaving that day and I just said no. I wanted my room cleaned. Of course it wasn't cleaned. Breakfast was not even a continental breakfast. All I can say it was cheap and not even cheerful. There was a coffee machine that gave adequate coffee and I changed my cups everyday for clean mug from the breakfast area. They used to have a thriving restaurant there that had a good reputation of exceptional food, sadly that's gone and there's also no bar there anymore. I paid £40 a night but sadly it wasn't even worth that. By the way, don't be fooled by the advertising for weddings and conferences etc. It definitely does not happen. The former owner, Tim and his dedicated staff would be horrified to see the state of the hotel now. Would I stay there again? Unless there are drastic changes, the answer is no. You can see from the photos the dirty bathroom, I even rescued a spider from the bath, broken and dirty radiators, the grounds are a health Hazard. The walls are dirty and I have could have shown many more photos. It is so sad to say beautiful place be ruined like this

Once upon a time, when the marketing photos were taken, this was most likely a lovely venue. However it is now well passed its heyday. The highlight in fact was the Bassett Burgers and Kebabs van, . Big shout out to the poor soul sweltering in the heat. Very good kebab. Not the meal we were expecting to get in the hotel restaurant, which apparently has been closed for renovation for some time. Maybe they need to update their listing. You can forget the afternoon tea which was also non existent. The breakfast, welll don't bother!! Our room had been renovated at some time, but not cleaned since. Who needs curtains when a few years of grime will do. Don't mention the growth by the bath taps. Definitely not value for money. Definitely don't stay here

DO NOT STAY I have never in my life had to walk out of a hotel but this hotel i did. We were given the room key went into the room and the toilet didn’t work. We were given a second room and it was horrible used tissue on the floor dust everywhere cobwebs and spiders. The mattress was stained completely by bloodily fluids. Sink wouldn’t drain and all but two plug sockets worked in the room. We had items left from previous people staying so obviously hadn’t been cleaned since, it was just shocking, they also refused to refund us for are 1 hour stay. Booking.com tried for a refund but the hotel refused and booking gave a huge a £16 in credit which in all honesty is just an insult. Sorry but 0stars isn’t a thing on here but wanted to leave a review that actually reflects the hotel as also found out it used to be a lovely place however after new management things have definitely gone down hill ! We had to find other accommodation who sadly knew exactly our situation and where without us having to say a word so that just tells you how often guests are forced to leave due to the unsanitary accommodation.

Filthy!!! Do not stay here. Was given wrong persons key . Given names multiple times and still got it wrong. Everything was dirty and dusty. Never wanted to go home in all my years of staying somewhere. Staff were nice but absolutely avoid and stay somewhere they clean better and not a health hazard with mould and Mildrew Hopefully one day someone will put the time into the place for a massive revamp.
