About Schoolhouse Restaurant and Hotel
Schoolhouse Restaurant and Hotel takes its name from the building's past life as a school, and that history still shapes the character of this small Wiltshire hotel on Hook Street in Royal Wootton Bassett. With just 10 rooms, it operates on a modest scale, offering en-suite bathrooms, family rooms and views over the garden rather than the anonymous feel of a larger chain hotel.
Guests have access to a restaurant and bar on site, along with breakfast, packed lunches and room service, plus drinks available in the room. There's outdoor seating in the garden for warmer days, free WiFi throughout, meeting rooms for those combining business with a stay, and 24 hour reception for flexible arrivals. On-site parking is available, though it comes at an extra charge, and airport transfers can be arranged.
The surrounding area suits those keen to get outdoors, with cycling and walking routes nearby, along with horse riding and a golf course within reach. Pubs, restaurants and other eateries in the vicinity add options beyond the hotel's own dining room, while nearby entertainment rounds out a stay based in this corner of Wiltshire.
