Stayed for a 60th party, room was clean and very comfortable. Very reasonably priced . Slept really well as the bed was very comfortable. The buffett provided was outstanding. Had lunch when I arrived which was lovely. I had avocado and poached eggs for breakfast which was yummy. A fantastic pub with cozy fire and lovely atmosphere. The staff were friendly and the manager was excellent and clearly experienced in hospitality.

We stayed here for two nights (22&23 July) and could not ask for better. The room (5) was fantastic, clean, very tidy (until I arrived) and well furnished. We only had breakfast on both days but it was again fantastic, well presented, cooked perfectly and hot when it arrived. The young lady that served us on both mornings was fantastic, very friendly and happy at all times, she deserves five stars of her own!! Will definitely stay here again next time we are down to see the in-laws.

Often drove past this pub, but never been inside. We decided to give it a try and wow so glad we did, the best fish and chips I’ve ever had, proper chips no frozen fries, lovely crispy batter and the tarter sauce was the best. Highly recommend it and will visit again.

Stayed 4 nights, breakfast each day and ate each night after a full day of sight seeing. Well located for lots of great places to visit. Good car park, easy check in. BedRooms are large and very well appointed with good bedding, great shower, tea/coffee etc. Breakfast was excellent, cooked to order from a menu, the full breakfast is large, had it twice, but the other 2 mornings had something lighter. Evening meals, had fish & chips, sea bream, prawn linguine, and a mix of starters one night. Food and service excellent. Staff all excellent. Would definitely stay here again.
