About Travelodge Swindon West

A cooked breakfast and an on-site bar and restaurant give Travelodge Swindon West a solid start for anyone passing through on business or heading to the Designer Outlet. The bar serves drinks through to the evening, and food is available on-site rather than having to venture out, though the Starbucks and other pubs and restaurants nearby offer alternatives.

The hotel has 70 rooms across four floors, all en-suite with air conditioning, and rooms are consistently kept clean and well-maintained with comfortable beds and showers with decent pressure. Accessible rooms are available, and a lift serves all floors. Staff are generally friendly and helpful, though service has occasionally been reported as inconsistent.

Chargeable parking is available on-site with 97 spaces, including three accessible bays, plus an electric vehicle charging point near the Starbucks. The location on Barnfield Close suits visitors to Swindon's business parks, the train station, and the Designer Outlet, and pets are welcome for those travelling with animals.

Our room seemed OK then discovered the carpet on 1 side was wet. Friday night was peaceful, Saturday night had presumably kids above running around gone 11.30pm. Breakfast Saturday morning was fine, Sunday morning was like a free for all with kids being allowed to pile up their plates with food they were never going to eat while spilling drinks and milk from cereal all over the floor! The hot food had ran out so people were left waiting despite most pre booking Breakfast so not hard to work out how much to prepare for the morning rush! All in all it was a joke! The staff were lovely, we had drinks in evening with friends at the bar, well done ladies 👏. It appears this hotel is used as halfway house too, there was a few looking like they needed a good bath ordering beer at 10am and 1 with 2 ankle tags clearly being displayed with pride.

The room was a good size. The air conditioning as working and the room was like a fridge, perfect for the hot weather! Absolute bargain

Absolutely shocking , one of the worst I have stayed in ,, no heating on the coldest night's of the year , told reception and two days later they came up with a little electric heater , was like a fart in the wind , no body ever on reception, breakfast was more like all you can get than all you can eat , would advise you stay away , premier inn up the road !!
