Hillside Caravan

Hillside Caravan works well for families wanting a seaside break without the fuss of a hotel, or groups of friends after shared facilities. The three bedrooms—one double and two twins—are all on the ground floor, along with a shower room, making it straightforward for anyone with mobility concerns. Everything you need for self-catering is there: a full kitchen with gas cooker and microwave, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included, plus Wi-Fi. The open-plan living and dining space has a 32-inch TV and comfortably fits six people around the table.

Hillside sits within a holiday park at Dawlish Warren, which comes with indoor and outdoor swimming pools available to guests for a small extra charge (seasonal, March to October). You get a private terrace to sit on between activities. A ten-minute walk takes you to the long sandy beach; the National Nature Reserve—over 500 acres of dunes, grassland and salt marsh—is on the doorstep. Beyond the park, Dawlish Warren has an 18-hole golf course, an 18-hole mini-golf course, go-kart track, and walking and cycling trails. Restaurants, pubs and cafés are scattered through the town. Smoking is not permitted inside.
