About Little Silver Country Hotel
Little Silver has been a fixture on the Ashford Road just outside Tenterden for decades, known as much for its wedding and events business as for its overnight rooms. After a period of closure the hotel reopened in late 2025 under new ownership, with the restaurant, lounge and half of its sixteen bedrooms back in operation and further refurbishment ongoing.
The new owners have focused on restoring the building's character while updating the interiors room by room, and early reports point to a warm welcome and a cosy, freshly renovated lounge alongside home-style cooking in the restaurant. The grounds retain the gardens and events space, including the hotel's Kent Hall function suite, that made it a popular wedding venue for years before the closure.
Its position just outside Tenterden puts the high street, the railway and Chapel Down vineyard within a few minutes' drive, and the hotel's ongoing refresh makes it worth checking current room availability directly given the pace of the refurbishment.

We had a lovely night's stay. The room was obviously set up to cater for disabled people as well. It was large, clean and very comfortable. We had a good night's sleep. The wet room was huge with a very powerful jacuzzi bath, shower and toilet. We had a cooked breakfast this morning which went down very well. The staff were all friendly and efficient. We would definitely recommend and would happily stay here again.

We went for a Sunday roast and it did not disappoint, I have been for Saturday lunch since the new ownership and knew I had to return after enjoying that so much. It is hard to beat home cooked roast and especially roast potatoes but Little Silver certainly did that. The whole meal was perfect, the menu had great choice and the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. We will definitely be returning. Thank you

Thank you for doing the wake for my mother. It could not have run more smoothly. Your staff were so polite and attentive. Nothing was too much for them. The food was perfect. We were so impressed with the hall and service. Our guests were impressed too. Hopefully you will get some future business from them. Heartfelt thanks from David and Pam Penfold. We've just enjoyed the most delicious afternoon tea at Little Silver, to celebrate a friend's 80th birthday - it was perfect in every way! Pretty surroundings, spotlessly clean, lovely china crockery, outstanding and plentiful food (brought home doggy bags) served by friendly and attentive staff. There was nothing not to like, and we'll definitely be going there again soon, and telling our friends. Thank you for a very pleasant experience.
