Arrived at the site and was put in the worst possible place having booked a year in advance. Stayed last year and really enjoyed it so decided to return and requested the same pitch as the previous year but was put in a marsh. They advised that we couldn’t have the original pitch as there was rain due and we’re put in the worst possible place. Our tent was on the brink of flooding due to a heavy downpour and having been put on the lowest level of land in the field which comprises of 2 inches of grass then clay so takes days for the rain to drain away. After having set the tent up, we were badgered by the warden and we were told to change the tent direction and rotate 90 degrees after having agreed a place and the direction that the was meant to be facing. When it was time for us to leave, we watched 3 families arrive for their holiday and erect their tents only to be told that they had also put their tent the wrong way and were told to move it. This is advertised as ‘unlimited pitch space’ but please be advised that it most certainly is not. You get approximately 5m of space in between each pitch (can be seen in picture below) Following this, my camping companions and I shall not be returning to the woodlands park campsite.

Lovely Country Park, peaceful, with parking place for each home, bus service just outside the front of the park. Park office open from 9am to 4pm each day except Sundays.

Great campsite! Good amenities and the warden onsite was a great help when had issue with our trailer. Would definitely recommend to friends...
