Gambledown Farm - Swallow - Safari Tent

The Test Valley's rolling farmland provides the setting for Gambledown Farm's safari tents—canvas structures that combine outdoor living with everyday conveniences. Each tent sleeps up to six across two bedrooms and an open-plan living, dining and kitchen space. The first bedroom has a king-size bed, the second contains two singles, and there's a double futon in the living area. A shower room with cubicle shower and WC is built in, so you're not roughing it entirely. Electricity, bed linen and towels are included.

The kitchen has a gas hob, running water and basic cooking equipment; a cool box keeps food fresh. Outside, a private garden with terrace, seating and a barbecue provides room to spread out. On-site parking for two cars is available. The farm itself—still working—is reached via a rough track, which is part of the appeal: this is genuinely rural rather than just country-themed. One dog is welcome. No smoking is permitted in the tents.

The combination of tent canvas and permanent facilities means families find it manageable; there are cots and high chairs available if needed. Countryside walks and farm animals are on the doorstep. The enclosed grounds mean children and dogs can move about safely.
