About Premier Inn Tiverton
Eighty-three rooms across five floors make up Premier Inn Tiverton, a straightforward base on Phoenix Lane for exploring this corner of Devon. Rooms are en-suite with air conditioning, and there are family and accessible options along with a lift for easy access to every floor. Drinks are available in room, and the hotel is geared towards a comfortable, no-fuss stay rather than anything flashy.
The on-site restaurant and bar cover breakfast and evening meals, with a good range of breakfast choices reported to set guests up well for the day. Staff are consistently described as friendly and helpful, and the rooms themselves are kept clean and spacious. There's an electric vehicle charge point on site, and while parking is available nearby, it's chargeable and has occasionally caught guests out expecting it to be free.
Tiverton town centre is within easy reach, and the location works well for trips out to Exmoor and the beaches of North Devon. Nearby options also include a golf course, pubs, restaurants and entertainment, making it a practical spot to unwind after a day out rather than a destination in itself.
What guests say
Classic premier inn, room was clean tidy and cool with aircon. Breakfast was good, I ate at 7:30am and was generally the only one there so no issues with waiting for food. Only downside as others have mentioned is the crazy parking fee. Would be great if the hotel could work to offer some kind of discount! WiFi was poor in the room I stayed in on level 3 and I had no phone service either which was disappointing as I was travelling for work and wasn’t able to check my emails unless I left the building. Handy M&S foodhall across the road, I opted for picky bits rather than dining in the restaurant so I can’t comment on that

We recently stayed for three nights at the Premier Inn and overall had a really lovely experience. The room itself was clean, comfortable and we all slept well throughout our stay. It was a bit of a squeeze for a family room, but it didn’t affect our stay too much. What really stood out was the staff. They were genuinely some of the friendliest we’ve ever met at a Premier Inn - and we’ve never had a bad experience with their staff anywhere. Ness, in particular, was outstanding at breakfast and made us feel really welcome. Breakfast itself was the only area that really fell short. The restaurant was completely full, and the poor chef was working flat out on her own. Because of that, they struggled to keep up with demand and we ended up waiting over 40 minutes for items to be replenished. It was clear she was doing everything she possibly could, but she definitely could have used an extra pair of hands to ease the pressure. Another negative was the extortionate price to park in the multi‑storey next to the hotel. It’s not run by Premier Inn, but it still wasn’t a great start to the stay. Despite those issues, we still enjoyed our visit and would happily return. The lovely, hardworking staff really made the difference.

I didn't make use of restaurant but room was great - clean, comfy bed, excellent aircon. Rainfall shower, would have been nice to have an attachment but pressure was good. My room had a beautiful view.

I liked this Premier Inn. It was in good nick, very clean and notably I found the staff really welcoming & friendly. The breakfast buffet was merely okay - I’m not sure you can call it an ‘unlimited buffet’ when upon picking up my plate at the hot station I’m presented with a choice of literally three sausages, two previously fried eggs (unsure how recently they were fried) and not enough beans to drown a single slice of toast. The chef/cook was there and was very pleasant - I just get the impression they’re being held to unreasonable budgetary constraints in terms of pre-cooking breakfast items. Which in a breakfast buffet, in fairly high-season, isn’t really fair. I’ll add that there was mere puddles of yoghurt (plain & strawberry) and about three slices each of white & brown next to the toaster. I felt greedy taking two slices, like I was stealing food off another guests plate. Is that what you want me to feel Premier Inn? Anyway, frugality aside - I enjoyed my stay and was particularly impressed by friendly staff. The parking for cars here is next door in the council car park. I would add that there is limited space under the hotel for three disabled spaces and some bike racks. There’s also sufficient room for some motorcycle parking if anyone would be so thoughtful as to permit that with a sign or some paint? The method of transportation so frequently overlooked and ignored. It would be so very little effort and much appreciated. We promise not to drag oil, mud and the blood of our enemies through the place - as is often the incorrect stereotype. Thanks
