Ocean Shangri-La

Ocean Shangri-La is a ground-floor apartment in a Victorian conversion near Princess Gardens and Royal Terrace Gardens. The main living space opens directly onto a 20-metre private balcony with views across Torquay Marina towards Paignton and Brixham; two of the three bedrooms also lead out to it. The living and dining room has a 52-inch TV, DVD player and patio doors to the balcony. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking—electric oven, gas hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge-freezer—with everything you need to prepare meals.

The three bedrooms comprise one king, one double and two singles. The king and double both have their own ensuite (the king has a bath and shower, the double a shower); there's also a main bathroom with a corner bath and shower cubicle. All three bedrooms have patio doors opening onto the balcony, and the larger two have televisions. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included. Parking is available for one small or medium car on site.

The apartment is positioned right by Torquay's seafront gardens, which drop steeply to sea level and the harbour. The walk stretches between the marina and the town centre, with views that reach inland to Dartmoor on clear days. Annual events including sailing races, firework displays and air shows are visible from the balcony. No smoking is permitted inside.
