Brixham's working harbour sits at the heart of this South Devon town, where fishing boats still operate from the quays and the cobbled streets slope down to the water. Samphire Cottage occupies an elevated spot above it all, a traditional fisherman's cottage with a contemporary interior, sleeping three across two bedrooms. The ground floor holds an open-plan living and dining space with a kitchen equipped for proper cooking—oven, hob, dishwasher and the rest—plus a sitting area with Freeview and Bluetooth speaker. Upstairs are a kingsize bedroom with harbour views and a feature fireplace, a single bedroom, and a bathroom with shower over the bath and a heated towel rail.
The patio is the draw. Facing south-east and furnished with garden chairs, it overlooks the harbour mouth where you can watch the boats come and go and the light change across the water. A water feature and mirror add to the space, which leads from the second bedroom. Bed linen, towels, electricity and Wi-Fi are included; there's on-road parking outside or public car parks nearby at modest cost. One dog stays free. The South West Coast Path is within reach for walking, Berry Head County Park and Nature Reserve lie close by, and Torquay is accessible by ferry. A pub sits within a mile. Children under six are not suitable for this property, and smoking is not permitted.

Nice little cottage with great views. The parking is an issue. I had to leave my car overnight either on the street round the corner or in a overnight carpark about 10 min walk. Which resulted in my car being damaged by somebody. The TV'S could do with being smart ones perhaps but again not an issue.
