Seaside Stories
Torbay
Seaside Stories sits on the cliffs above Brixham, a working fishing port where the harbour remains the focal point of daily life. The cottage looks directly across the marina—you can watch boats unload their catch from the bedrooms and the terraced garden alike, and see ferries crossing between Torquay, Brixham and Dartmouth. The setting is genuinely hard to beat for anyone wanting to be absorbed in coastal activity without being in the thick of the town itself.
The layout runs across three floors. A kitchen/dining room on the lower ground handles cooking, with a separate toilet nearby. The ground floor has the living room and access to the garden and patio. Upstairs are two bedrooms: one with a double bed and the other with two singles, plus a shower room. The essentials are covered—heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are all included. A small courtyard with garden furniture and on-road parking complete the practicalities. No smoking indoors.
Brixham itself is a short walk away: narrow streets lined with colourful cottages, fish shops selling the day's catch, restaurants, pubs and galleries fill the centre. The beaches nearby mix sand, shingle and pebbles; the open-air swimming pool has rock pools alongside. Coastal paths lead towards Berry Head. The cottage works equally well for couples wanting uninterrupted sea views or families needing two separate bedrooms with that harbour watching as the backdrop.
