Booked the wheel throwing experience as a birthday treat for my fiancée Laura, and we had an absolute smash! Turns out Laura is a natural potter, whereas I looked like a drunk toddler making mud pies in a tropical storm. Steve was an absolute legend throughout, endlessly patient while trying to guide my chaotic lump of clay into something vaguely resembling a pot. Laura’s stunning creation is definitely taking pride of place on the model shelf, while my abstract masterpiece is destined for a dark corner somewhere. Brilliant fun, total enjoyment, and we’d love to have another spin at it!

We had an amazing 9th birthday party at Poppins Pottery today. Nestled in the heart of Babbacombe, it’s a lovely family-run venue with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The team who looked after us were fantastic from start to finish and made the whole experience feel special. The children had a brilliant time painting pottery, getting creative, and enjoying the cosy, fun environment. Not only was it a memorable and unique party experience, but it was also excellent value for money. A huge thank you to everyone at Poppins Pottery for helping to make the day so special. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun, creative, and affordable children’s party venue. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

My daughter and I visited for a pottery wheel experience. It was great fun, incredibly friendly, and we were both really pleased with the results for total amateur! We are looking forward to coming back to paint our pot and bowl and see the finished articles. Lovely shop in a really nice part of Torquay. Highly recommend everyone to give it a go.

A really enjoyable pot throwing session, Steve is so knowledgeable and a great teacher. Tracey and Steve will make you feel so welcome, they are incredibly well suited to what they do because of their natural way with people. Two humble people who love what they do and want to share it with others, made our trip to Torquay. They also make beautiful things so was able to purchase a gorgeous mug that was handmade by Steve, very reasonable price too!
