Fillleigh House began as a timber store on a working estate in the Devon countryside, and its conversion has kept the character of the original building. Stone walls and timber features remain visible inside, a reminder of what stood here before. The property sits within 25 acres of mixed woodland and pasture, where you'll find woodland walks starting practically at your feet and enough space to genuinely escape the everyday. Wildlife and bird activity are constant throughout the year.

The ground floor is open-plan: a sitting area with a wood-burning stove opens onto a dining space and kitchen, with exposed stone visible along one wall. Underfloor heating runs throughout. A small courtyard is accessible from the main living space, and there's a dedicated dog-shower area if you need it. Two bedrooms upstairs both have en-suite bathrooms; each can be configured as either twin or super-king beds depending on your group. A private lawn sits directly behind the building for quieter hours. Parking is immediately outside. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included; the kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering. No smoking throughout the property.

Great Torrington is roughly seven miles away, Bideford about fourteen. RHS Garden Rosemoor is accessible for a day visit, while both Exmoor and Dartmoor lie within reasonable reach. The Tarka Trail passes nearby, and sections of the South West Coast Path are within driving distance.
