Spekes Valley Holidays - Aunt Nell’s Cottage
Torridge
Aunt Nell's Cottage is a converted barn in rural Torridge, a mile from the North Devon coastline. It sleeps four across two bedrooms – a kingsize and a zip-and-link twin – with one bathroom and a separate toilet. The layout works well for families or two couples; children's equipment including a cot and highchair are available. One dog stays free of charge.
The ground floor holds a living room with a woodburner and Smart TV, a dining room, and a kitchen equipped for proper cooking – there's an electric oven, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer (shared with the other cottage on-site). Upstairs are the bedrooms, each with Smart TV. Heating, electricity, Wi-Fi and bed linen are all provided. Outside, there's a terrace with garden furniture and a barbecue, plus parking on site. The property is entirely yours – no shared facilities except the tumble dryer.
Hartland village, four miles away, has shops, pubs and a post office. The real draw is immediate access to rugged coastal footpaths leading to beaches including Speke's Mill Mouth and Hartland Quay, with the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty stretching along the cliffs. Walking routes connect towards Clovelly and Appledore. Tamar Lakes nearby has fishing and water sports; Bude golf course is also close. No smoking inside the cottage.
