Holsworthy and its surrounding countryside sit within easy reach of Devon's coast and Cornish beaches. Stonechat Barn is one of two holiday properties on a working farm here, a converted barn arranged across two floors with its living spaces upstairs and bedrooms down. The ground floor holds a double bedroom, a twin room, and a shower room. Upstairs, an open-plan kitchen and living area centres on a woodburner and a freeview TV; the kitchen is equipped for cooking proper meals rather than holiday basics.
The property comes as a whole to yourself, with parking for two cars and an enclosed garden containing a patio and seating. One dog stays free. Essentials are covered—heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included, along with initial logs for the burner. An external utility room (shared with the owners and other guests on-site) has a washing machine and freezer. The 10-acre grounds offer woodland to explore, and you're welcome to use the owners' fields. The market town of Holsworthy is 2½ miles away; Pyworthy village with its pub is half a mile closer. No smoking indoors.

What a lovely find, it's in a little village just off the beaten track and very quite, ideal if you want a relaxing time away from everyday life. Lots of fields to stroll around in and a lovely little suntrap of a garden, completely fenced off and private. We had our new puppy so it was ideal both for containment in the garden and lovely walks around the fields. The barn is well equipped, can't want for anything really, comfortable spacious and warm. The bedrooms are on the ground floor and living area above so upside down which makes a change. One bonus is parking, no trying to find spaces here the drive has ample room. The area as you would expect is stunning and Bude is a short drive away and lots of other wonderful places are within easy reach, Port Isaac is a must visit place! Fran & John were wonderful hosts and we will certainly be back.
