Weirmarsh Big Barn is a converted rural building with the proportions and character of its agricultural past. Five bedrooms and five ensuites spread across two floors can accommodate up to sixteen guests, each bedroom paired with its own bathroom. The layout suits families or groups wanting to stay together: downstairs holds one double ensuite, while upstairs are four further ensuites, some with both double and single beds to mix sleeping arrangements. A travel cot and highchair are on hand for the youngest visitors.
The main living spaces take their tone from the building's bones—lofty proportions, original features, and a double-sided wood burner that connects two sitting rooms. One lounge has a television; the other focuses on quieter comfort. The kitchen is fitted for cooking from scratch, with a full complement of appliances including dishwasher and twin fridges. Beyond the main house, a games room holds a pool table, table tennis, and darts for rainy afternoons. An enclosed garden provides outdoor space with seating, and a hot tub fits six people. Electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included; heating comes from an air source system, and initial fuel for the wood burner is provided. The property sits near Umberleigh in Torridge, with private parking for up to four cars on site. No smoking is permitted throughout.

We had such a lovely weekend at Big Barn. Such a beautiful place and a huge space for entertaining. The kitchen was fully equipped with absolutely everything you might possibly need, the bedrooms are lovely and comfortable and having a bathroom per room was a huge bonus. The games room is great and the hot tub was bliss. Plenty of room for all the family without feeling overcrowded. We will definitely be coming back. Thank you for having us Sarah and Josh! We were all so sad to leave! X

Fantastic time with the family. So much room and entertainment space, the children had a lush time. The games room and hot tub are a brilliant bonus. Amazing hosts and very accommodating, highly recommend, will return!! We were a small group but looking forward to booking again with the extended family! Perfect location easy proximity to north Devon attractions!!

We had an amazing weekend stay at this beautiful barn! There was plenty of space for our group of 13 (plus a dog!) and it never felt crowded. The barn was spotless, cosy, and had absolutely everything we needed for a perfect weekend away. The games room was a big hit — darts, table tennis, snooker, table football — something for everyone! The hot tub was the cherry on top, perfect for relaxing in the evenings. We celebrated a 50th birthday here with family and friends, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a spacious, comfortable, and fun place to stay. We’re already talking about coming back!

This place is beautiful!!! A lovely, warm, clean house with everything you could need (including a games room with hot tub). Very cozy and set in gorgeous countryside. We will definitely be visiting again even though it's a six hour drive away, it was well worth it and would very much recommend to anyone and everyone!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
