About Higher Loveham Farm

Seeking a small, simple and serene base for your North Devon camping trip? Higher Loveham Farm hosts an adults-only pop-up site during the summer months, offering classic camping as it's been done for generations. There are no electric hookups, just peaceful grass pitches surrounded by pretty rural countryside where horses, ponies and sheep graze. Facilities cover the essentials – toilets, showers, wifi and a covered washing-up area – while awnings and barbecues are permitted if you fancy a few more creature comforts.

Dogs are welcome provided they don't spook the resident animals, and you'll find plenty of places for a good walk nearby along quiet country lanes or further afield in Exmoor and Dartmoor (25 and 40 minutes' drive respectively). The village of Umberleigh, a mile and a half away, has a railway station, shop, café and two pubs serving good meals. The coast at Westward Ho! is about half an hour by car, so you can combine a full countryside experience with seaside days out.
