What visitors say
Caution. The steps are A LONG WAY UP AND DOWN if you have any sort of sub athletic levels of fitness. Safe as they are, well maintained as they are, they are steep and deep. If the above is not a problem, it's worth the descent to the magical cliffsides on the bay, where you CAN see the different stripes of colour in the cliffside. We had fun.

Well worth a visit. I walked down to the beach and got the chair lift back up with my daughter. I bought £15 tokens for £12, year round offer at the kiosk. It cost me 6 tickets for a one way chair lift. I used the leftover 3 tokens for my daughter to watch the sweet making demonstration. We had lunch in the cafe, it was freshly prepared and quite nice. There isn't much to do there, but a visit to see the needles is a one time must do. They have crazy golf, coloured sands to put in a bottle - do it yourself type thing. Very reasonably priced gift shop, sweet making and glass blowing demonstrations. All these are at an extra cost. Go early to park and spend a few hours there.

Ok was staying on isle of white for a few days and wanted to visit the needles attraction. Visited the sand centre and the glass center. I couldn't get down to alum chine as the attraction was repairing the chair lifts to the beach so that was a no go. I also couldn't get close to take any pictures. I got what I wanted though a glass full of sand and some glass pieces.
