What diners say
The value for money isn’t right here. At least not for our visit. The one star is for my gluten-free option.that was ok. They advertise afternoon tea with a view of Tower Bridge. I’ll send you a photo of our view. The tea does come in lovely glass pots, but it’s just a standard tea bag like the ones you can buy in a shop for a few pence. One coffee or tea is included in the price. My daughter wanted water, not tea or coffee. We had to pay extra for that. There was tart, assorted cakes, macarons, scones and four slices of toast per person with gherkin, salmon, egg salad and ham. All thrown together. That was it. For £45, I would have liked everything to have been presented with more care, more nicely and more creatively. I’m happy to spend money on quality and the experience. But this time, I let Google guide me in my search for a great afternoon tea without looking any further or doing my research. So there are certainly nicer alternatives!
