What visitors say
The En-suite hiker pods offer really good value for money. Well equipped, cosy, and surprisingly comfortable bench & mattress. 700w microwave, lots of plugs, hot/cold water, modern shower and toilet, good lighting, and effective curtains/blinds. The pods are fairly sound proof, block road noise well. For campers, the pitching area is at the furthest point from the road. If staying during the hotter months, the pods can be difficult to cool without a good breeze. May foil plans for an early bed; we had to keep doors/window open till dusk! They're built for winter. (Note: the back window latch can be undone, it's spring loaded, just push it down). There's a lot of pine trees in the area, and the pods seem to be made of pine. Sap can leak from trees/exterior of pods and stick to clothing. Smells lovely and repells bugs but can be difficult to get out. No fault of the holiday park though, simply nature doing its thing.

Where to start? Kirsty and Steven who are I believe the owners ,went above and beyond for myself and my partner on our anniversary. We were booked in at riverview lodge 3 for the weekend. Such a warm welcome when we checked in and was greeted with their adorable friendly dog. The lodge was well kept and had extra hidden amenities such as Bluetooth sound system throughout the lodge, pull out beds ,loads of storage and excellent cooking facilities. The lodge was super spacious along with the patio. The view of the running river and tree's was beautiful and so relaxing wether you relax in the hot tub or just sit at the table on the patio (twilight movie vibes). As I said at the top of this review both Kirsty and Steven went out their way to make our stay feel personal and unique. They checked on us , opened the receipt/shop and handed my partner and myself a big bouquet of roses and a card to congratulate us on our engagement, which was honestly just so kind!. We will most definitely be back and hopefully turn it into a yearly tradition. Thank you both again for such an amazing experience!

Beautifully situated campsite. Very friendly staff. Unfortunately, many accommodations are apparently rented out to construction workers, even during the high season. These workers drive their cars to the toilet block in the evening and early morning: parking and maneuvering less than a meter from our camper. We were woken up very early by it, and they left the showers very dirty.

We rented a pod to take a break from the camping, it was warm, comfortable and clean. Very reasonably priced too. Reception has a shop that's well stocked with snacks and hiking essentials. Staff were lovely. Happy Haggis shop right outside as well which serves food and is open from very early until very late. Great location on the WHW route.
