Interesting place, very atmospheric as there was a sea mist surrounding it when we arrived. Has large graveyard which had the names of soldiers and families who lived and worked there during the war. Good displays of the ammunition areas and where gun inplacements were. Definitely worth a visit.

Great place to visit, kids loved to explore, especially around the old gun emplacements, big area with lots of different history through the years. Has a short video explaining some of the history. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

Fabulous venue for The Ks gig. Great security. Efficient and friendly, beautiful backdrop and lots of food/ drinks outlets. Toilets were decent and no queues. For a music venue , one of the best I've been to.

Fantastic views and English Heritage guides. The priory and castle is perched atop the cliffs overlooking the North Sea. It offers spectacular views and is so rich with history, spanning back to the 12th century. Much of the priory is just ruins now, however, the volunteer guides are very knowledgeable and paint the picture perfectly for you. Highly recommend a visit!
