What visitors say
Stopped here for a weekend bike ride to the Isle of Wight. Perfect location, 11 miles away from the ferry port. Good shower and toilet facilities. Guy running it was spot on. Lovely quiet field, very peaceful. No ram! Which we were a bit disappointed about, back in Suffolk we do love a good chase.

A lovely place for an overnight stop, with everything you could want: friendly & quiet neighbours, clean facilities and a nice flat pitch. Picnic area with fire pit looked great too. The ‘natural lawnmower’ (read: ram) was a great addition. He didn’t bother anyone, and we enjoyed watching him amble around slowly minding his own business. Jamie was great too - accommodating our last minute arrival and popping by to say hello. Overall a great campsite, I’ll be back if I’m ever in the area again.

Good points: quiet, easy to find, lots of space (we were the only people here) and within walking distance of the village and pubs. Negative points: toilets not great - no toilet roll, no soap, no paper towels, quite dirty and only 1 cubicle was open. Cowpats in the field. Grass wasn't cut for camping so you couldn't tell if the ground was level. Paying £30 a night is the upper end of campsite costs and so they need to provid much more and get the basics right. It this was £10-£20 a night is have given it 5 stars, it basic but nice, but not worth £30. If that's s campsite was £10-20 a night I would have given in 5 stars, but for a campsite at the upper end of the price range this is definitely not good value for money and discount not ex

This place will be amazing. Spent the weekend here with our VW group before attending a show in Southsea today. We wanted for nothing, any little niggles were sorted before we had even realised. Owner is very fair and really helpful. The communal fire pit is a great idea and the cottage next door sell firewood so has everything you need for a great stay. We will be booking up a couple more stays here before the year is out!
