What visitors say
The best beach in Norfolk. IMHO there isn’t a better beach in the U.K. Get there early to ensure you can get a parking space. If you are planning on staying all day, the car park is £12. Worth every penny. You can also use the all day parking ticket to visit Holkham Hall and the walled garden. We highly recommend the courtyard cafe at Holkham Hall. There is a cafe with toilets near Holkham beach, the cafe serves up superb bacon baps with really thick bacon along with excellent coffee. After this facility there aren’t any more toilets until you reach Wells. Once on the beach, you can turn left and walk a mile or so or turn right and walk around 2.5 miles to Wells beach. The beach towards Wells has amazing lagoons that change with the tide. Dogs need to be kept on leads on the beach during spring and summer as there are many birds nesting along the beach. They are often fenced off with a simple pole and rope.

Amazing beach really is and our go to in Norfolk as a family. Long stretches of beach, and streams of the sea and certain parts making it easy for the kids to have a splash and safely do so whilst the adults sit. Its a walk from the car park, not too far but carry light which is hard as a family. The sand dunes are fab for the little ones. It is so quiet there, peaceful, and worth a visit

An absolute jewel of the North Norfolk coast! Holkham Beach is breathtakingly massive, especially when the tide is out, offering miles of pristine golden sand, beautiful grassy dunes, and a stunning pine forest backdrop. It feels completely unspoilt and wild, making it perfect for a peaceful long walk. Be prepared for a bit of a trek from the car park to the actual water's edge, but the views are completely worth it!

What a beautiful beach and a lovely walk through a forest to get there. A must see if you're in the area.
