A campsite near Wells-next-the-Sea
About Camp Holkham
Set on the handsome Holkham Hall estate, this large pop-up site gives families easy access to some of Norfolk's finest coast. Grass pitches (some with electric hook-up for motorhomes) sit within cycling distance of Wells-next-the-Sea and the magnificent beach at Holkham Bay, where golden sands stretch for miles and horses often gallop past at the water's edge. Hire bikes on site or bring your own – the flat, scenic route to Blakeney Point's seal colony is a highlight, doable in under an hour.
Beyond the sea, the estate itself keeps you entertained with wildlife safaris, parkruns and craft workshops, while younger campers gravitate to the play area and ropes course. The on-site café covers basics (sandwiches, salads, cakes), though some find the offerings a touch limited given the size of the campsite. Wells-next-the-Sea, a 10-minute drive, fills in the gaps with proper pubs and takeaways. There's also a shop for local produce and souvenirs, plus clean shower blocks and laundry facilities.
