Pinewoods Holiday Park

Coastal touring park among the dunes at Wells-next-the-Sea, ten miles from Holt
About Pinewoods Holiday Park
Pinewoods Holiday Park sits directly beside Wells-next-the-Sea's beach at the end of Beach Road, with famous pine woods and dunes forming its northern boundary. The Spoonbill Touring Park and Camp Holkham sections offer pitches for tents, touring caravans and motorhomes alongside the park's larger holiday home operation, all within a short stroll of the sand. Reviewers consistently praise the stunning beachside location and direct pedestrian access to both beach and nature reserve without crossing a road, though a few note the site can feel a touch tired in places and facilities get stretched during peak weeks.
On-site amenities include a well-stocked shop and cafe, heated shower blocks, and electric hookups on touring pitches. The surrounding pine woods provide sheltered walking whatever the weather, and a seasonal bus service connects to Wells town centre for anyone not fancying the mile-long walk. It's a practical base for families wanting maximum beach time with minimum travelling, plus birdwatchers drawn to the adjoining reserve, with the shop and cafe meaning you needn't rely on the town for everyday essentials.

What visitors say
We use the touring park with our caravan. Great location. Pitches are big and toilet facilities are excellent. Good site shop selling essentials. 1 mile walk in to Wells. Less than 1/2 mile to the beach, and beach cafe.

Good location - 20 mins walk to wells - 10 to the beach. Facilities are very clean / modern. Campsite itself (touring) is effectively a huge carpark with zero character and nothing separating the pitches. Overall - OK. More of a base to walk from than somewhere we would spend any real time.

We visited our friends who rent a caravan here every year. The site is very well run. It is clean and tidy. There are paths leading to Wells-next-the-Sea beach, which is beautiful. An idea setting for a holiday park.

We stayed for three nights over Easter break. I'm so glad i picked Pinewoods. The location is unbeatable. A short walk to the beach, the cafe, and the RNLI building. The shop on site is well stocked. Aside from neighbours noisily packing up early on our first morning, the site is so peaceful and quiet. The only sound at night was a nearby owl. The caravan itself was very clean and modern, with everything we needed. Bring your own dish and hand soap, though. It was my American-born teenager's first caravan holiday. He had heard all of my stories of childhood caravan holidays, and he now understands why I loved them so much. His only grumble was that the single beds were a bit too short for him. We will definitely be back!
