What visitors say

Happily Wandering

So glad we popped in. What an amazing house. I loved all the wood and the gothic style. The library was so well set out. The ceilings are beautiful. You only get to see the ground floor. Do wander around the well kept grounds. Usual NT facilities.

Beautiful national trust hadn't been before. Amazing for the dog lorsif great walks. Lots of fields with no livestock down the very bottom so all the figs visiting the day we went had a wonderful time. The gardens pretty. We didn't do the house and walled garden because we had the dog. Would like to go back and see these As always national trust cafe was very nice. Rses insider and out. Lovely view outside as you can see from my photos.

Unusual house set in acres of beautiful grounds with many mature trees and attractive gardens. Various length walks (up to 4km) are shown on the free quide. Very knowledgeable guides helped to enhance our visit. It has a second hand bookshop and a nice cafe. There is a little 4 seater shuttle car to take you to the house if required (just ask inside if it's not there).
