You walk straight into Crofter's Barn's heart: a ground-floor open plan where kitchen, dining and living spaces flow together across slate floors. The wood burner sits at the centre of the living area, with sofas arranged to face it. A separate shower room sits adjacent. Upstairs, two bedrooms—one with a kingsize bed, one with twins—share a bathroom with a full-size bath. Note that the upper floor has sloping ceilings. The property sleeps 4 and you have it entirely to yourselves.
The kitchen is properly set up for self-catering: electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer and washing machine mean you can cook and manage laundry without fuss. Electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included. The wood burner has initial fuel supplied; additional logs are available at cost. There is private parking for two cars on site.
The barn sits in its own grounds within the Dartmoor National Park estate, with a shared front garden and sitting-out area furnished with seating and a barbecue. From the garden you can walk directly onto open moorland, and Cycle Network route 27 runs past the property. The village of Brentor and its notable chapel are nearby. Brentor is close to Tavistock. The garden contains an unfenced river and two unfenced ponds. No smoking throughout.
