Stow-on-the-Wold and Moreton-in-Marsh lie within a short drive, making this part of Oxfordshire ideal for exploring the Cotswolds. Daylesford Farm and the Cotswold Water Park are nearby for families wanting activities beyond the property itself. Sparrow Farmhouse sits on a private estate among rural grounds, with its own garden and direct access to the surrounding countryside.
The cottage sleeps six across three bedrooms and has one bathroom. You get an open-plan living space, a lawn, and use of the swimming pool on the estate. Wifi, heating, bed linen and towels are included, so the essentials for a week away are covered. The property is yours alone—no other guests in the building.
This is a no-smoking property. Families and groups of friends tend to use it as a base for exploring the region or simply retreating to the grounds. It's the kind of place where you can spend a day locally or venture further afield depending on what appeals.

Came here a few weeks ago and it was a beautiful area and really peaceful location. However, while the actual site is a really stunning place, there is definitely a few things that take some slight enjoyment away. Firstly, the place was quite busy and slightly overcrowded, which wasnt a major problem, however considering this was a Wednesday at 1 o clock and it was already getting a bit too busy, I dread to think what the weekends are like. Another small touch that really irritated me was that the apples in the gym were waxed and faked, all just for making them shiny and bright red for the 'looks'. However, a member of staff was excellent and brought some bananas for me and my brother. It is a slight common theme that a lot of things are done more for the looks than enjoyment. Finally, a lot of the places to go were extremely overpriced. Dont get me wrong, I would expect the prices to be slightly higher here than other places as I definitely agree that this is a premium location, however, I think it was a little too high for what I was getting. I got a starter and a sharer main with my brother, and still had to stop for some food at McDonalds on the way home. And that was after a £41 per person meal. Overall, this place has the potential to be a gem in the countryside, but needs a few tweaks in my opinion!

Soho Farmhouse is one of my favourite places to visit in the Cotswolds. Every time I go, it feels as though I’ve escaped the UK and been transported somewhere far more peaceful. It’s the perfect place to switch off, relax, and recharge. I’ve visited many times with friends and family, whether for a leisurely lunch, a relaxing day away from the city, or simply to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Whatever the occasion, it always feels like a little holiday without having to travel far. The setting is stunning throughout the year. Whether it’s spring, summer, autumn, or winter, Soho Farmhouse has a unique charm in every season, and the atmosphere is always warm, peaceful, and inviting. The only downside is that the service can be a little inconsistent during particularly busy periods, and at times it can be slower than expected. However, this has never taken away from my overall enjoyment of the experience. Overall, Soho Farmhouse remains one of my favourite destinations. The beautiful setting, relaxed atmosphere, and feeling of escaping everyday life keep me coming back time and time again. I couldn’t recommend it more highly.

I’ve been a member of Soho Farmhouse for over ten years, which is why it’s so disappointing to say that this weekend was the first time I’ve genuinely felt the magic slipping. The biggest change isn’t the facilities, it’s the atmosphere. Everything feels noticeably more impersonal than it once did. The attention to detail that Soho House built its reputation on seems to have been replaced with a “good enough” approach. Our room was full of small oversights that, individually, aren’t major, but together paint a picture. There was just one tiny bottle of still water and one tiny bottle of sparkling water for two guests. One of the bikes we’d been allocated still had a baby seat attached. There was a dirty plate left in a drawer from the previous occupants. There was still protective plastic attached to part of the window frame from building works. Even the ice buckets now feel cheap and out of keeping with the experience, which may sound trivial, but these are exactly the kinds of details Soho House used to get right. The restaurants have also changed. The seating is looking tired and tatty, there was no one welcoming guests on arrival, and service throughout felt disorganised. There are still familiar faces among the long-standing team, but there’s clearly been a significant influx of new staff who, unfortunately, often came across as inexperienced, disengaged and lacking the warmth and polish that once made every visit feel special. Room service also feels noticeably clunkier and less personal than it used to. None of these things on their own would ruin a stay. It’s the cumulative effect that is so disappointing. What was once an experience that felt thoughtful, relaxed and effortlessly special now feels much closer to a busy chain hotel on a Friday evening. I sincerely hope this is a temporary blip rather than the direction Soho Farmhouse is heading. As someone who has loved this place for over a decade, I’d far rather be writing a glowing review than this one.

Beautiful location, grounds and facilities, but we went on a Bank Holiday, and OMG packed, I mean wall to wall packed at the pool and the sunbeds where the overspill was on the floor (not enough beds). We didn't stay there, so we can not comment on the rooms, but we had to wait a little while for a table (to be expected with the crowds), and the service was a little slow but generally pleasant. Drinks and food typical of SoHo House (I have never been a fan of either. But you don't go to Soho House for that, you go for the atmosphere, and that was on point. Oh, two final points of interest. I have an electric car, and Soho House offers free charging through a Porsche sponsorship, which was a great plus (limited spaces). They also have a great men's and women's clothing shop, great prices and unique designs (I bought a coat)

People say this resort offers a relaxing country feel with beautiful grounds and well-designed cabins. They also highlight the delicious food, particularly at the Japanese restaurant Pen Yen, and the warm indoor-outdoor pool. Guests mention the friendly and attentive staff, who often go above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay.
