Sandbeds Farmhouse
Westmorland and Furness
Sandbeds Farmhouse is a substantial farmhouse dating from 1729, set on a 100-acre farm in rural Westmorland and Furness. The property sleeps 10 across five bedrooms and three bathrooms, with everything needed for a self-catering stay already in place: bed linen, towels, wi-fi, heating and electricity are all included, along with logs for the woodburner. A welcome pack arrives on check-in. The kitchen is properly fitted for cooking at scale—it has a range, dishwasher, microwave and fridge, with an island unit and a dining table that seats ten. Off the kitchen is a utility room with washing machine and freezer.
The ground floor has a living room with woodburner and smart TV, plus a bedroom and shower room, which suits anyone who cannot manage stairs. Upstairs are four further bedrooms: two kingsize, one double, and a super kingsize with zip-and-link beds that can be split into singles. The second bathroom on the first floor serves these rooms. The property has a patio with garden furniture and barbecue, and private parking for five cars. Sandbeds works for extended families or groups who want the whole place to themselves; smoking is not permitted. There is a step at the garden entrance.
