Berrymoor Farm Cottage
Westmorland and Furness
View on Google MapsBerrymoor Farm Cottage is a single-storey property designed for two guests, with everything on ground level. You get a bedroom with a kingsize bed, an ensuite with shower, a combined living and dining room with a wood-burning stove, and a kitchen fitted with an electric cooker, microwave and fridge-freezer. The essentials—heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi—are all included, along with a starter supply of fuel for the stove. On-site parking and an enclosed garden with seating are yours alone for the duration of your stay.
The cottage sits in open country a short distance from Penrith, surrounded by footpaths that start from the gate. Kirkoswald, a village about three-quarters of a mile away, has shops and pubs, and sits in the Eden Valley between Carlisle and Penrith. From here you can reach Hadrian's Wall, the Northern Pennines, and the Yorkshire Dales' western edge without a long drive. Pooley Bridge on Ullswater is a short trip, as are Keswick and Derwent Water. The Cumbrian Cycle Route passes nearby, and the River Eden offers fishing. Dogs are welcome, and arrangements can be made for a travel cot or washing machine if needed.
